Fishing Trips
Let us guide you on a World Class Gold Medal Trout Fishing trip you’ll never forget! Whether you want a leisurely day, or an ambitious backcountry fly fishing trip in the solitude of the wild, we have you covered? Let us put together the perfect trip for you, on foot or horseback! You’d be hard pressed to find better fishing in a more peaceful and scenic setting.
In addition to several remote stretches of the South Platte River, we have exclusive access to the Lost Creek Wilderness where you’ll discover a secret gem of low pressure, off-the-grid fishing. The waters of the Lost Creek, Wigwam Creek, Goose Creek, and Craig Creek are home to countless delicious brookies, browns, and rainbows! If you know where to look, you can find miles and miles of very low gradient stream with many undiscovered deep pools holding much larger than expected trout.

South Platte Wilderness (Hike-In)
$525/Single Angler
$175/Each Additional Angler
* 3 Anglers Max
Wanna get away from the crowds and high pressure fishing? Do you like hiking and getting off the grid? We have just the trip for you! Mule Creek Outfitters has access to some excellent remote and isolated locations along the South Platte (not far from the M Lazy C Ranch). Hike along the river through some intensely beautiful and rugged country to riverside locations that will take your breath away. Only 1.5 miles from the trail head, we will spend our day moving up and down the sides of the canyon hitting pockets of wild fish, waiting to “Crush our bugs”! Most of these fish have seen little to no contact with people and have even grabbed our flies a second time while releasing them. Aside from maybe few sporadic hikers or a really ambitious fisherman or two, chances are very high that we’ll have the river to ourselves. This is definitely a trip that no adventure seeker will ever forget!
This full day trip is all inclusive (certified and licensed guide, gear, food, and fly fishing equipment).

Eleven Mile Canyon
Half Day: $275 • Full Day: $375
$125 Additional Angler
* 3 Anglers Per Guide
The tailwater below the Eleven Mile Canyon Reservoir have flourished into a legendary Colorado fly fishing spot. For roughly 10 miles between the town of Lake George and the 135-foot dam at Elevenmile, we’ll lead you through beautiful bouldered canyons holding first-rate trout waters. Loaded with trout that eat well on a variety of small midges and mayflies, a trip to Elevenmile offers a memorable day of fly fishing. There are lots of technical opportunities from fishing flats to swirling currents and beautiful pools.
Per mile this stretch of river consistently holds more fish than any other river for many miles around. It is the place to go where you stand the best chance to get into one of the various beautiful species of trout that call the South Platte River home. The canyon itself is forested, lush, and rocky with a canopy of large trees providing a screen of shade that floats across the canyon with the moving sun.
These trout are seeing some sort of angling pressure 365 days a year. The rainbow trout, brown trout, and cutthroat trout that call this river home are not the easiest fish to entice, which is where we get to demonstrate our expertise!
